MILTON, Del. -- Cape Henlopen catcher Jase Mitchell was drafted 216th overall by the Houston Astros on Monday.

Today, we got a chance to walk the bases with the Vikings' star where his baseball journey began in Milton. Jase shares how his family, faith and years of training prepared him for a career in pro baseball at just 18 years old.

Mitchell becomes the first Delaware baseball player drafted out of high school since Indian River's Jamie Jarmon back in 2012. He'll head down to Florida and begin his journey with Houston's organization this weekend.Â
