WILMINGTON, Del. -- After reaching nine wins for the first time since 2012, the Indians fell 28-7 at the Tatnall School on Saturday afternoon in the DIAA 1A State Semifinals.
Hornets' quarterback Rahshan LaMons scored a rushing and passing touchdown while returning an interception 74 yards for another six in the win. Indians sophomore Dylan Grise connected with Rashad Hopkins for IR's lone score.
The Indians forced three turnovers on defense, but the Hornets defense also created three takeaways, including another pick-6 by Jayden Minor to ice it. Tatnall advances to its first state championship in school history next weekend.
