LEWES, Del-- The Cape Henlopen Vikings and Wilmington Friends Quakers faced off in round one of the DIAA Boys Basketball State Tournament. Throughout the first two quarters, the Vikings dominated the court. But by the end of the third quarter, the Quakers had started to catch up. It was not until the fourth quarter that Wilmington Friends' Joseph Winchell scored a three pointer that gave the Quakers a 52-51 lead. But shortly after, Cape Henlopen's Braxton Figgs scored a two pointer that gave the lead back to the Vikings with a score of 53-52.

Cape Henlopen went on to secure a 56-52 victory. This Thursday, the Vikings will go on to compete in round two against Seaford.
