Amiyah Ellerbe drops 18 in her final high school agame for Smyrna

NEWARK, D.E. -- The Smyrna Girls' Basketball team fell short on Tuesday night, losing 60-39 to The Sanford School in the state semifinals. Senior Amiyah Ellerbe scored 18 points and Dawsen DeMoe added 12. 

Head Coach Erique Gumbs is still hopeful to lead his team back to the DIAA state final in the near future. For now, Smyrna closes the 2025-26 season with an 18-5 record.
