SMYRNA, Del-- Smyrna and Concord faced off in the DIAA Girls Basketball Quarterfinals. In the first quarter, Smyrna's Amiyah Ellerbe scored a two pointer that gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Amira Green of Concord answered back with a three pointer that gave the Raiders a 3-2 lead. Shortly after, Smyrna's Peyton Craig scored a three pointer that put the Eagles back in the lead with a score of 5-3. 

For the remainder of the night, Smyrna held onto the leading spot. Concord tried to fight back but the Eagles' offense and defense proved to be too strong. Smyrna went on to secure a 61-27 victory. On Tuesday, March 10th, the Eagles will travel north to the University of Delaware to take on Sanford in the semi-finals.
