LEWES, Del-- Cape Henlopen and Caesar Rodney faced off in boys soccer Thursday night. In the first half, Allison Hogking of Caesar Rodney scored the first goal of the night, giving the Riders' a 1-0 lead. Brenner Short of Cape Henlopen answered back by tying the score 1-1 in the first.

The score remained 1-1 until Cape Henlopen's Lawson Whaley gave a 2-1 lead to Cape Henlopen in the second half. Shortly after, Hogking scored another goal for Caesar Rodney, tying the score 2-2. For the remainder of the night, Caesar Rodney and Cape Henlopen found themselves in an intense back and forth for the leading spot. With less than two minutes left in the second half, it was Austin Tyndall of Cape Henlopen who scored the tie breaking goal, giving the Vikings a 3-2 victory. Cape Henlopen is now 10-2 on the season.
