CAMDEN, Del --- The Kent Island Buccaneers defeated the Caesar Rodney Riders 16-11 in a late-night lacrosse battle. After a back-and-forth second quarter, Kent Island regained the lead thanks to goals from Landon Hughes and Miles Goff. Caesar Rodney's Ian Betts kept it close, tying the game twice, but Kent Island answered with two more goals from Goff to lead by two at halftime.

In the second half, Goff and Micah Moritz extended the Bucs' lead, and despite a late push from the Riders, Kent Island held firm. Goff’s final goal sealed the victory, as Kent Island controlled the game to finish with a 16-11 win.
