SALISBURY, Md. -- The Maryland Intermediate (50/70) Little League State Title Game between West Salisbury and Rising Sun will certainly go down as an all-time classic, as Rising Sun took the state crown in one of the quirkiest endings you'll see in the sport of baseball.

In what had been a back-and-forth game all the way through, things got real dicey in the final frame. With Rising Sun leading 6-4 and West Salisbury down to their final out with the bases loaded, a small infield pop fly was lifted just inside the third base foul line. As the Rising Sun third basemen moved to make a play on the ball, he collided with the West Salisbury third base coach; causing the ball to bounce off the coach and drop in foul territory.
