Highlights: Parkside Baseball Wins 2A Region Title With Nailbiting Victory Over Kent Island

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Parkside Rams' Baseball team evaded a late Kent Island rally to win the Bayside 2A region title game 2-1 earlier today and advance to the Maryland State Quarterfinals later this week.

After taking a 2-0 lead into the top of the seventh, Parkside appeared to be ready to close things down with ease after getting the Bucs down to their final strike. However, this Kent Island squad showed some sharp resiliency, as Jacob Agee beat out a flip throw to second base on a Shane Bogardus groundball, which was then followed up by a Keegan O'Brien RBI single to cut the lead to 2-1.
