CAMDEN, Del. — The Caesar Rodney Riders continued their undefeated season Thursday night, defeating Cape Henlopen in straight sets in a match filled with redemption and grit. The Riders, who were swept by the Vikings last season, flipped the script this time with a 3-0 victory, capped by a dramatic finish in the third set.

After trading points in a tightly contested first set, Caesar Rodney found momentum late behind strong defensive efforts from Andrew Victory and Jamal Alsadrani. With the score tied at 19, the Riders surged ahead and held on to take the opener 25-22, thanks in part to key plays from Xylord Martin and Haron Johnson. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Cape Henlopen taking an early lead before CR rallied behind powerful kills and crucial blocks. Johnson and Alsadrani sealed the 25-20 win with back-to-back deflections at the net.
