Newark Charter defeats Lake Forest with late extra time goal.

FELTON De. – Newark Charter soccer defeated Lake Forest 2-1 on Tuesday night in the first round of the DIAA D2 playoffs. Newark Charter will take on back-to-back D2 state champions Sussex Academy on Saturday Nov. 8 in the second round. 

 Just ten minutes into the game the Patriots found themselves down, but not out. Despite trailing most of the first half, Newark Charter held more possession of the ball and had great opportunities to score. The equalizer finally came just one minute in the second half, a goal from Dennis Patrick leveled things up.
