SALISBURY, Md. -- The Shorebirds brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning, but Steven Ondina's fly ball came to a halt on the warning track in left as the GreenJackets win the opener, 5-1, over Delmarva on Tuesday afternoon. 

Owen Carey hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning to break the game open for Augusta. Braves' Top 30 prospects John Gil and Nick Montgomery both drove in runs as well.Â
