The Hawks remain undefeated in conference play after a victory against Coppin State

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks remain undefeated in MEAC conference play.  Dorion Staples and Zion Obanla led the way with 20 points each to propel the Hawks to a 70-67 win over Coppin State. Obanla hit clutch free throws to get UMES to 70 points. He was a perfect 8-8 from the line. 

With 15 seconds to go Coppin State had the rock (70-67) with a chance to tie it, but UMES created a turnover and got the stop. The Hawks are now 4-0 in the MEAC for the first time since the 1973-1974 season.
