Butch Waller has his final home victory as WiHi's head coach.

SALISBURY, Md. — This was never just another basketball game. It was the closing of a remarkable chapter for the winningest coach in Maryland high school basketball history.

The Wicomico Tribe welcomed the Winters Mill Falcons to the Waller Dome for the MPSSAA quarterfinals in what became a night filled with emotion and significance. Not only was it the Tribe’s final home game of the season, it also marked the final time legendary head coach Butch Waller would patrol the sideline in the gymnasium that now bears his name.
