Villanova defeats Liberty 3-2 to win DVCHC D2 championship

HARRINGTON De. - The Villanova women's ice hockey team defeated Liberty 3-2 on Sunday to win the DVCHC D2 championship. 

It was a back and forth battle all game; after a scoreless opening period the Flames struck first with a long goal from Kate Walhof. After that the Wildcats took over, a goal from Camryn Browne evened up the score and five minutes later the Wildcats took the lead with a goal from Peyton Williams.
