RJ Dina Steps Down as Sussex Academy Soccer Coach After Six Seasons

Georgetown, De. — Sussex Academy will enter next school year with a new boys soccer coach. RJ Dina, who led the Seahawks for the last six years, announced he was stepping down on Tuesday. Kyle Wheatley was announced as the next coach for Sussex Academy.

Dina won two Delaware state championships in 2023 and 2024, as well as gaining national recognition with a No. 23 ranking in the nation in 2025. Dina said, “Over the past six years, it’s been an honor to coach such an incredible group of young men and to be part of something that has grown into a true family.”
