Highlights: Sussex Central Defeats Lake Forest Softball 7-3

GEORGETOWN, Del-- Sussex Central and Lake Forest faced off in softball Thursday night. At the top of the first, Lake Forest's Kaitlyn Pierce stole home, giving the Spartans a 1-0 lead. At the bottom of the third, Sussex Central's Adeline Lutz hit an RBI single, tying the score 1-1. Still in the third inning, Kimora Harris hit an RBI double for the Golden Knights, giving the lead to Sussex Central with a score of 2-1.

For the remainder of the night, Lake Forest tried to reclaim the leading spot, but the Golden Knights refused to back down. Sussex Central went on to secure a 7-3 victory. The Golden Knights are now 12-2 on the season.
