Highlights: Sussex Central Defeats Laurel Girls Basketball 63-50

LAUREL, Del-- Laurel and Sussex Central faced off in girls basketball Monday night. In the first quarter, the Bulldogs and Golden Knights found themselves in a battle for the lead. It was Mon'Shayla Louis of Laurel who scored a two pointer, giving the Bulldogs an 8-7 lead. From then on, the Bulldogs held onto the spot on top until Laurel and Sussex Central found themselves in another back-and-forth in the third quarter. 

In the third, Tiara Gibbs of Sussex Central secured a two pointer, giving Sussex Central a 44-42 lead. For the remainder of the night, Sussex Central held onto the leading spot while Laurel trailed close behind. The Golden Knights went on to win 63-50. Sussex Central is now 8-5 on the season.
