LEWES, D.E. -- Cape Henlopen started the 2025 season 3-1. Many thought they would be one of the teams in contention to get to the 3A state title game. Over their last six games, they mustered just a 3-3 record. 

They had signature wins like their 23-21 victory over rival Sussex Central which came down to a game-winning field goal by Austin Tyndall. They had moments where they fell short like their 42-34 loss to Smyrna.
