Highlights: Cape Henlopen Defeats Caesar Rodney 46-34 in the DIAA Unified Flag Football Championship

DOVER, Del-- Cape Henlopen and Caesar Rodney faced off in the DIAA Unified Flag Football Championship at Delaware State University. The Vikings and Riders ended the first quarter in an 8-8 tie. In the second quarter, Grant Conway of Cape Henlopen scored a touchdown, giving the Vikings a 14-8 lead. Ryan Bowers of Caesar Rodney answered back with a touchdown, tying the score 14-14 in the second. The Riders then went on to secure a two point conversion, giving the lead to Caesar Rodney with a score of 16-14.

Caesar Rodney held onto the leading spot for the remainder of the second and third quarters. In the fourth quarter, Grant Conway of Cape Henlopen ran the ball in for a touchdown, giving the lead back to the Vikings. Cape Henlopen remained in the lead for the rest of the game. The Vikings went on to win 46-34 and the Unified Flag Football State Champions title.
