The Colonel Richardson Colonels look to advance to the MPSSAA 1A Quarterfinals with a road win over the Perryville Panthers tonight.
Perryville heads into this matchup with a 17-5 record and winners of nine of the eleven games they’ve played in since January 23rd. Led by sophomore forward Andrew Clark (19.6 PPG and 9.7 RPG) the Panthers were able to earn a first round bye before dominating Kent County 97 - 64 in the second round to reach the region title game.
On the other side, the Colonels ended their regular season on a strong note as winners of five of their final six regular season matchups. After a first round bye, they kept the momentum rolling by defeating Bohemia Manor 75 - 63 to reach tonight’s region final game.
Win or lose, after a 5-13 finish and a first round exit a year ago the Colonels’ season has been a success finishing the regular season with a winning record along with a playoff win.
