LEWES, DE — The No. 1-seeded Cape Henlopen Vikings women's lacrosse team downed Henlopen Conference rival Sussex Academy Seahawks, 19-3, on Thursday to advance to the DIAA state final.

The Vikings opened scoring early, taking a 4-1 lead in the first quarter. That momentum continued into the second as Cape Henlopen added five more goals and went into halftime with a 9-2 lead. The Seahawks fought hard but were ultimately unable to match the Vikings’ speed and precise shooting.
