Tuesday, it was the boys teams from these schools meeting on the court for a chance to head to the MPSSAA Quarterfinals. Tonight, the girls squads meet on the floor, only this time it’s the Eagles with the home court advantage. A battle between the 15-6 Cambridge-South Dorchester Vikings and the 14-7 Snow Hill Eagles with a trip to the MPSSAA 1A State Quarterfinals on the line.

This is not the first matchup between these two teams this season as the two squads opened up the 2023-2024 season facing one another. Through three quarters the Vikings had a double digit lead heading into the fourth and it seemed as though they would coast to an opening season home win, but the Eagles had other plans. A fourth quarter where Snow Hill outscored Cambridge-South Dorchester by thirteen made the game a lot closer than the Vikings would have liked, but they were still able to pull out the 43 - 35 win for a 1-0 start to the season.
