WILMINGTON, Del. — Tower Hill mounted a dramatic second-half comeback to edge Caesar Rodney, 12-11, in overtime Thursday night at DeGroat Field, clinching a berth in the girls lacrosse state championship for the first time since 2016. The No. 2 Hillers erased a four-goal deficit and scored the game-winner in sudden death, capping a relentless rally against the third-ranked Riders.

Caesar Rodney led 9-5 early in the third quarter behind strong efforts from Ella Brown and Delaney Miklus, but Tower Hill began to chip away. Lucia Colasante sparked the comeback with two goals, and Maisie Carr added another to cut the margin. After a fourth-quarter equalizer from Alex Simon, Colasante struck again on a free-position shot to give the Hillers their first lead. Miklus responded with a feed to Brooke Roberts to tie it at 10, and Brown scored late to force overtime after Simon briefly put Tower Hill ahead again.
