GEORGETOWN De. – Sussex Academy girls soccer defeated Indian River 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The Seahawks improved to 7-2 on the season after a narrow win over the Indians. Both teams had trouble finding the net early on. It wasn’t until the 29th minute that the deadlock was broken thanks to a header from Debora Williams off of a corner. A few minutes later Indian River struck with a goal from Allison Tucker and the teams went into the break tied at 1-1.
