Ahead of late Pocomoke field hockey coach Susan Pusey's posthumous induction into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class of 2024, her family, former players, and the field hockey community remember the 16-time state champion coach. Over Pusey's remarkable 28-year career, she led the Warriors to 24 MD State Tournament appearances, an undefeated and unscored upon season in 1994, and eight consecutive state championships from 2003 to 2010. Pusey's legacy and profound impact stretches far beyond national record books and accolades as she fostered a family tradition, empowered athletes to reach for the extraordinary, and led with faith and love. Ten seasons after her sudden passing, the Pocomoke family will continue to honor Pusey by living out the lessons she taught them.
