STEVENSVILLE, MD -- The Queen Anne's County Boys' Wrestling spoiled Kent Island's senior night festivities, as they come back from a 27-13 deficit to win 35-33 and secure the Andy Schipul County Wrestling Championship.

Kent Island entered the final two matchups clinging to a 30-29 lead, before Cash Ryan secured a pivotal pin on Ryan Austin to give the Lions a late 35-30 lead. Tremaine Jackson (120 pounds) staved off a pin from Jack Hooks in the final matchup to lock up the victory.

The hosting Buccaneers were in control through the midpoint matches, as they secured big pins from Greg Couch (132 pounds) and Giuseppe Mellinger (182 pounds). However, Ethan Wheaton (220 pounds) picked up a momentum shifting pin to cut the Bucs' lead down to just two entering the last batch of matches.

Queen Anne's will now have one final game at Patterson Mill next Tuesday before postseason play. For Kent Island, this was their final regular season match, as they'll ready for the Bayside Wrestling meet on Saturday, February 18th.
