DELMAR, Del. — The Delmar Wildcats defeated Indian River 2-0 in girls' soccer at home. The first half remained scoreless, despite Indian River hitting the crossbar and Delmar's Ava Reid sending a shot wide. Both teams had chances, but solid defense kept the game even.

In the second half, Delmar broke the deadlock when Rylin Nichols sent a long shot over Indian River goalie Tiara Waters, putting the Wildcats ahead. Indian River nearly equalized, but Allison Tucker's shot missed just wide. Abigail Neals sealed the win for Delmar with a late goal, securing a shutout victory.
