MIDDLETOWN, Del --- In a rainy, under-the-lights showdown, the Archmere Auks held off the Appoquinimink Jaguars 10-8 in a thrilling lacrosse game. Tied 6-6 in the second half, Archmere’s Ryan Hagener broke the tie with a goal, and Aiden Mahoney extended the lead with a lucky bounce, making it 8-6. The Auks added another goal from Quin Duncan, followed by Mahoney’s deep shot, giving them a 10-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Appoquinimink fought back in the final quarter, with Logan Czerwinski and Logan Leleszi scoring to cut the deficit to 10-8. With just 30 seconds remaining, Czerwinski was knocked down as he tried to shoot, but Archmere’s defense held strong. A scramble for possession ended with the Auks running out the clock to secure the win.
