It is with great excitement that we announce a partnership between the local Honda dealers and Delmarva Sports Network for the 2025-2026 Scholar Athlete Award. Each month, this award will recognize an athlete in their senior year from a local Delmarva high school who carries a “B” average or higher and participates in at least two varsity school-sponsored sports in the calendar year. Nominees need to also be recognized by their coaches for outstanding sportsmanship and perform with superior ability in athletic competition.
REQUIREMENTS
Each entry should contain the following information:- Name of student
- School attending
- Name of school-sponsored sports in which the student participates
- Verification of grades: either a copy of the previous marking period report card or a letter from a school counselor stating the student’s GPA (for this year’s first semester marking periods, please use the student’s junior year final grades)
- Written recommendation from his/her coach
There is no limit on the number of submissions received each month/year from each school. Once the student athlete’s application is submitted, it will be eligible for each monthly award until May 2026.
