LAKE FOREST, DE -- This years' "Battle of the Bell" between Lake Forest and Milford saw one of the rivalry's highest scoring games, as the Spartans came away with an assertive 52-26 victory.

Lake Forest built a big 28-8 lead in the first half off some big scores, including a punt return touchdown from running back Jaymeire Snell, and rushing scores from Quarterback Jonathan Tyndall and Fullback Jamir Marable.

However, Milford was able to cut the deficit to two scores on a fumble recovery in the endzone in the final two minutes of the first half, to go into the break down 28-14.

The teams then traded scores in the second half, as Milford was able to cut it to a one-score game after returner Keith Owens returned a kickoff for six to make it 34-26.

It was all Lake Forest from there, though, as the Spartans went on to score the games' final 22 points.

The Spartans improve to 2-0 on the year, while Milford drops their first of the year to fall to 2-1. Lake Forest will travel to Delcastle next week, while Milford will also be on the road at Delmar.
