BERLIN, MD -- The Delmarva Christian Girls' Basketball team continued their fantastic start to the 2023 season, picking up a 54-28 victory at Worcester Prep; their eighth consecutive win.

The Royals came in on the road and wasted no time showing why they remain undefeated this season, as they opened up play with a 15-0 run. A full court press caused fits for the opposing Mallard offense, while Juniors Mia Elliott and Journey Handy provided the bulk of the scoring during the run.

Delmarva Christian will now have a chance to continue their undefeated record at home, as five of their next six games will be played at home. They will begin that stretch next Tuesday at four against the Salisbury School.

For Worcester Prep, this loss brings them back down to a .500 record at 5-5. Unlike Christian, the Mallards will have to look improve their mark on the road, as they begin a stretch of four straight road games on January 31st at this same Delmarva Christian team.
