NORFOLK, Va. -- Led by its bench, Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball beat Delaware State 55-48 to advance to the MEAC semifinals. This is the Hawks' second straight year reaching the final four of the conference.

Senior Brianna Barnes scored 17 points to lead the way for UMES. It was a fitting performance, coming just 24 hours after she won the MEAC Sixth Player of the Year award.
