PRINCESS ANNE, MD. -- The Coppin State Eagles won the previous two meetings against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball squad, but this game was the highest of stakes between the two teams in awhile. The winner of this game would be on top of the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference, and bragging rights would be at an all time high.

Coppin State managed to win over the Hawks 3-1. Now, Sophomore superstar Lilliana Montes did not play for UMES in this game, however, the offensive powerhouse that Coppin State displayed between TaKenya Stafford, Cherisse Atilano, and Deviana Walker, it was too much for the Hawks to handle.
