Salisbury Md. - The Shoreline Sting Gold faced off The Delmarva Heat Downes in the 13U USSSA National Eastern Championship pool play.

Maeve Eagleson pitched an amazing few innings for the Sting, shutting out the Heat while she was on the mound. In the bottom of the second Alexa Hauschild started the Stings lead with a 2 RBI single. Stella Belmont brought in a run with a sacrifice bunt as well. The Heat started to get the bats going in the top of the 4th where Miranda Adkins and Brooklyn Absher were able to drive in 2 runs. In the top of the 5th, off of a overthrow to first, the Sting were able to solidify their win by scoring 2 more runs.
