Highlights: The Northeast Devils tie The Eastern Shore Velocity 4-4 in 14B Pool Play in the USSSA Eastern National Championship

Salisbury Md. - The Northeast Devils faced off the Eastern Shore Velocity faced off today in the USSSA 14B pool play at Henry S. Parker Field 4.

The Velocity took an early in the 1st inning thanks to Hayden Smelter with a 2 RBI single. Then in the 3rd inning, Madelyn Johnson and Ali Mills both brought in more runs for the Velocity leaving that inning with a 4-0 lead. The Devils didn't back down. In the top of the 4th Giuliana Buchholz hit a bomb into left field for an RBI triple. Then in the top of the 5th, Charley Crane hit a 2 RBI double closing the Velocity's lead to 4-3. Giuliana Buchholz was able to bring in the tying run for the Devils in the top of the 5th as well.
