BRISTOL, Ct. -- The Georgetown Little League Majors' Softball team bounced back in a big way today, dominating Capitol City LL (Washington D.C.) 18-0 in just 2 1/2 innings to move on in the Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament.

After a tough one-run loss to New York yesterday on a walkoff infield single, Georgetown was definitely itching to get back to their winning ways on the diamond. And they did not waste any time, jumping on Washington D.C. with a nine-run first inning.

From there, they did not look back, as starting pitcher Adeline Lutz held down the fort defensively while the bats contributed another nine runs in the second inning. They then secured the mercy in the top of the third to move on.

Georgetown will now play tomorrow at 1 p.m. in another win-or-go-home matchup against the winner of tonight's Delmar-Pennsylvania matchup.
