Wihi took the game to overtime, but fell 44-42 in the state finals.

After 60 years Wihi head coach Butch Waller called it a career at Wicomico High School. In year 60 coach Waller got a chance to coach in every single game. Including the 2A MPSSAA State Championship. It was a battle between the Tribe and Henry E Lackey. Wihi fought all the way to the end, but eventually fell short in overtime 44-42. 

Demar Brunson had a team high 17 points for Wicomico. Tyson Hayward finished with a double double, 11 points and 10 rebounds. Malik Gordan had a team high 17 points for Henry E Lackey.
