Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association Announces Winter Championship Sites

DOVER De. – The DIAA announced the sites for the upcoming winter sports championships on Friday. The boys and girls basketball state championship games will return to a familiar location in Newark, with the finals scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The indoor track championships will take place Saturday, February 21, at the University of Pennsylvania’s Ott Center, while the swimming and diving championships are set for Saturday, February 18, at the University of Delaware’s Carpenter Sports Building. Two Henlopen Conference schools will host the wrestling championships, with Smyrna High School selected for the Dual Team Wrestling Championships and Cape Henlopen High School hosting the Individual Wrestling Championships. Additional information will be released by the DIAA closer to the championship dates.
