The 2026 DIAA State Championship is set on the girls side of the hardwood and we have a rematch of last year's state semi-finals matchup. St. Elizabeth taking on Sanford at the Bob Carpenter Center this Saturday. Sanford is coming off a dominant win over Smyrna 60-39 to reach their first state title since 2023. Meanwhile, St. Elizabeth defeated Ursuline Academy 56-40 to reach the state finals for the second straight season.
Sanford is looking for revenge after last season's semifinals defeat to St. Elizabeth while the Vikings are also looking to avenge last year's state finals loss to Caravel Academy. This will also be the first time these teams have met in the state championship since 2021 where the Vikings bested the Warriors 47-45.
