Sussex Tech Softball's Cinderalla run to the state championship game came to an end with a 3-2 loss to Caravel.

The Buccaneers took an early lead thanks to a Payton Losten infield RBI-single in the 1st inning. That was the lone run until the 6th, when Losten knocked in another run with an RBI single.

The Ravens fought valiantly, scoring two runs in the 7th inning to tie the game 2-2. Cierra Lewis, who pitched the entire game for Sussex Tech, legged out an RBI infield hit down to her final strike to tie it.

Mackenzie Hunter was the hero for the Bucs, whacking the walk-off single to win the state title.
