NEWARK, Del. - The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association crowned the champions of the state's swimming and diving meet on Saturday. Ursuline Academy won for the girls team competition and Salesianum took first for the boys. The Charter School of Wilmington placed second for both.

Sussex Academy was one school representing southern Delaware at the championship meet, which took place over the course of four days at the University of Delaware. Sussex Academy's girls team took sixth place and made the podium in multiple events.
Payton Garnsey from Caesar Rodney topped the podium with 1:02.93, followed by Gretchen Maughan from Sussex Academy in second and Alexa Acosta from Wilmington Christian in third.

Anna Mumford from Sussex Academy took first at 5:00.83, with Alaina Hoffman from Ursuline in second and Andie Kiess from Middletown in third.
