SMYRNA, De - Smyrna's Terrell Ingram brushed off history and Middletown defenders to the tone of 252 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 32-21 victory in the 30th Harvest Bowl. The Eagles had not won a regular season matchup against Middletown since 1993, but found themselves up 16-0 midway through the second quarter after Hameed Chase scored twice, once on a 14-yard triple option pitch to the slot, and then a 62-yard catch-and-run, capped off by a pair of Ingram two-point conversions.

Middletown pushed back, scoring twice in 19 seconds. First, Kai Johnson capped off a 60-yard drive with a 13-yard catch from Max Phipps, and then Tysir Young took a tipped pass back for a pick-6, bringing the game to 16-14 as they chose to kick two extra points.
