Highlights: Lake Forest Defeats Odessa 13-7 in Round 2 of the DIAA Softball State Tournament

FELTON, Del-- Lake Forest and Odessa faced off in Round 2 of the DIAA Softball State Tournament. Throughout the first two innings, Lake Forest held the lead until Odessa tied the score 5-5 at the top of the third. At the bottom of the inning, Lake Forest answered back by retaking the lead.  

At the top of the fifth, the Ducks tied the score 7-7. But at the bottom of the inning, Lake Forest retook the lead once again. Odessa tried to fight back, but the Ducks were unable to put anymore runs on the board. Lake Forest went on to secure a 13-7 win and their ticket to the Quarterfinals. On Saturday, May 23rd, Lake Forest will take on the winner of the Conrad vs. Cape Henlopen match up.
