LEWES, Del-- Sussex Central and Cape Henlopen faced off in the DIAA Division I Boys Soccer Quarterfinals Thursday night. In the first half, Lee Levis of Cape Henlopen scored the first goal of the game, giving the Vikings a 1-0 lead. At the beginning of the second half, Richard Ortiz Roblero of Sussex Central answered back with a Golden Knight goal, tying the score 1-1. 

The game went into double overtime, but both teams were determined to not let the other score. This led to a penalty kick shootout. In the first round of penalty kicks, Cape Henlopen and Sussex Central tied 4-4. Going into the second round, Cape Henlopen missed a goal, allowing the score to sit at 6-6. It was Jefferson Soto-Deleon of Sussex Central who scored the tie-breaking penalty kick, giving the Golden Knights a 2-1 victory with 7-6 in penalty kicks. On Tuesday, November 11, Sussex Central will travel north to Newark Charter to face off against Salesianum in the Semi-Finals.
