BEAR, Del. — The St. Georges Tech Hawks put on a show for Senior Night, overpowering Hodgson Vo-Tech 74-41 in a dominant performance on Friday. The game started with the Silver Eagles striking first as Jaden Gladney capitalized on a mishandled ball to put Hodgson ahead early. Julian Sadler added to the lead with a jumper in the paint, and Gladney connected on another basket to keep the Eagles in front. However, the Hawks responded late in the first quarter, with Jayden Reid fighting through a foul to convert a crucial and-one play, cutting the deficit to one.

The momentum shifted in the second quarter as the Hawks' defense tightened. Emory Womack intercepted a pass and raced down the court for a layup, giving St. Georges its first lead. Senior David Crawford then took over, hitting a deep three-pointer and following it up with a jumper off the glass. With Joshua Obiora facilitating, Crawford drained another corner three, extending the Hawks' advantage. The defensive intensity continued as Womack forced a turnover and found Shane Davis, who finished through contact to send St. Georges into halftime with a commanding 33-18 lead.
