Tribute to PHS Alum and NBA Announcer Pat Doughty.

We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of the legendary voice, Patrick Doughty. Known as “Big Pat” he was the PA announcer for the Pocomoke Warriors, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and most recently the Charlotte Hornets PA announcer for the past 20 years. Even though he was busy with the NBA and NBA 2K (2022-2024), he always made time to come back to the Peninsula and give back to the community that started it all. His passion and dedication to his craft was second to none and he left his mark on Delmarva in more ways than one. He will be greatly missed by the community and our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family and the community that he was a part of. Throughout today we will look back on his greatest moments and tonight we will pay tribute on the Final Score at 10:30pm.
