WILMINGTON, Del -- The Imhotep Panthers secured a hard-fought 55-50 victory over the Ursuline Raiders in a highly anticipated interstate showdown featuring five-star recruit Jazelle Banks. Ursuline came out strong in the first quarter, led by Banks, who showcased her skills with a layup in transition and a three-point play to set the tone early. Banks dazzled with her ability to weave through defenders, helping the Raiders take an 18-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.

However, the Panthers answered back in the second quarter, as Calista Gaymon drained a wide-open three-pointer to give Imhotep the lead. Anai Kenyatta added to the momentum with a smooth floater, and Gaymon capitalized on an Ursuline miscue with a fast-break layup, pushing the Panthers ahead 26-23 at halftime. Imhotep's defense and sharp shooting proved crucial in overcoming the early deficit.
