CENTREVILLE, Md. -- The Queen Anne's County Lions' Boys' Basketball team advanced to the MPSSAA 2A Bayside regional final earlier tonight, prevailing over Parkside 62-55.
The Rams trailed by three entering the final minute, and had some strong looks near the rim. However, some strong defense would eventually lead to a change in possession, and an Amani Baynard putback layup with 25 seconds remaining to put the game on ice.
Freshman guard Jadereon Thompson was a stand out for the Lions tonight, as he dropped 15 points in the just the second quarter
That regional final will be played against Easton at Queen Anne's next Tuesday for the right to go to the State Quarterfinals.
