BEAR, Del. — In a battle between two Delaware girls lacrosse powerhouses, Caesar Rodney mounted a furious second-half comeback to defeat previously undefeated Caravel, 12-8, at Bob Peoples Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Tied at 4 to begin the second half, Caravel quickly surged ahead with back-to-back free position goals from Maya Suchanec and Carson Peace. Alena Malinowski added another score to make it 7-4 Buccaneers. But the Riders didn’t flinch—Ella Brown and Brooke Roberts each found the back of the net to close the gap, and Logan Fuchs tied the game early in the fourth quarter off a feed from Ella Price.
